Apartment
Rent for apartments near Gunma University is approximately 25,000 yen to 45,000 yen a month for a six tatami jyo(畳)(9.7㎡) apartment with a bath and toilet. When moving in, a security deposit (used for cleaning, etc. at time of move out) and key money (payment to the landlord) equivalent to approximately one- or two-months’ rent will be required.
On the room contract, a guarantor and room insurance may be required. In most cases, contracts are renewed every two years.
