Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Japan Visits Gunma University
On April 28, 2026, H.E. Mr. Abdul Hameed, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Japan, and Mr. Hasnain Haider, Counsellor, paid a courtesy call on President Yasuki Ishizaki of Gunma University.
The meeting was also attended by Vice President Mutsumi Iijima. During the meeting, they held productive discussions on potential research collaborations in fields in which Pakistan has particular strengths, as well as on future academic exchanges between institutions in Pakistan and Gunma University.
Three Pakistani international students also attended the meeting. The students, who are conducting advanced research in health sciences, information engineering, and electrical engineering, introduced their research projects and shared their experiences at Gunma University. The Ambassador offered warm words of encouragement to the students.
The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to further deepen cooperation in education, research, and human resource development.
