【Report】Gunma University x University of Warsaw Joint Seminar Held
As part of the ongoing research exchange between the University of Warsaw and Gunma University, a joint seminar was held on Aramaki Campus on June 4th and June 12th.
On June 4th, Dr. Breno Barreto Silva from the University of Warsaw conducted a workshop entitled “Using Statistics to Better Understand Research Findings.” This was followed by a roundtable discussion on the application of statistical methods to language education.
On June 12th, Dr. Marcin Opacki, a specialist in linguistics, delivered a presentation entitled “Experimental Approaches to Linguistics.” Following his presentation, four faculty members from the Global Initiative Center shared their research findings, leading to a lively exchange of ideas.
Both researchers visited Gunma University from June 2nd to 4th and from June 10th to 12th, respectively. During their visits, they observed English PBL classes at all three campuses, attended practical training sessions at the Cooperative Faculty of Education, and visited an affiliated school. They also participated in an “English Cafe,” an informal event where students enjoy practicing English communication.
