The main
objective of the Faculty of Education is to equip future teachers with solid
theoretical knowledge and practical skills to enable them to respond to the
varied and complex demands of the teaching environment.
The Faculty of Education offers the Course for the Training of
Elementary and Secondary School Teachers. It consists of five divisions:
1) Languages and Social Sciences
2) Natural and Information Sciences
3) Arts and Music
4) Life and Health Sciences
5) Education and Human Sciences
Practical teaching experience is an integral component of the degree
requirements in each department. Teaching practice is provided at the
affiliated schools (kindergar‚”en, elementary school, junior high school and school for physically and mentally
handicapped children), and further instruction is offered through the Center
for Cooperative Resea‚’ch and Development on School Education.
The Graduate School of Education provides opportunities for research in
three fields: education science, human development and curriculum
development. The chief objective of the graduate program is to provide future
educators with the knowledge, skills and abilities to meet the professional
challenges.
